Redcar Station Signal Sighting Assessment & Navigating Scaffold Challenges
As part of the ongoing renovation at Redcar Station, the TNR team were called in to help the project evaluate the potential impact of a proposed scaffold arrangement being set up around the station building next to the Down Main Line (Platform 2). This scaffolding was crucial for essential roof works but the potential to obscure existing Signals and cause distraction needed to be investigated.
The Challenge
The construction programme was being held up and TNR were asked to turn around the assessment as soon as possible. ⏱️
Our Approach
Within two weeks of the initial meeting with the client TNR were able to create a Truesight™ model based on existing survey data, records and design drawings to support the comprehensive assessment being undertaken by our friends at North South Rail. Result
A comprehensive assessment of Signal Sighting compliance was able to determine that the proposed scaffold would not obstruct any critical lineside signage and therefore works were able to continue. 👏
